Fiesta Tacos


  • 6 Soft Flour Tortillas

For the Taco Seasoning Mix

  • 2 tbsp. Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp. Cumin
  • 1 tbsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Salt

For the Taco Filling

  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 500g Beef Mince
  • 2 tbsp. Tomato Paste
  • ½ cup. Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Lettuce, sliced
  • 1 cup Cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • Fresh Coriander, to garnish


  1. For the Taco Seasoning Mix: In a small jar, combine all the ingredients and store until further use.
  2. For the Taco Filling: Heat oil over medium heat in your Chef skillet. Add the onion and garlic and fry until soft. Add the beef mince and sprinkle a tablespoon of taco seasoning over the mince. Combine well before adding the tomato paste and tomato sauce. Let it simmer for +-15 minutes.
  3. To Layer: Place your taco shells on the table. Layer each taco with a scoop of mince filling, fresh lettuce and grated cheese on top. Serve with a homemade salsa dip (recipe link) and sour cream.
