Ginger & Honey Pork Chops


  • 6 pork chops, 20mm thick
  • garlic, crushed
  • fresh ginger, chopped
  • brown sugar
  • olive oil
  • soy sauce
  • dry white wine
  • Marinade
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 30ml fresh ginger, chopped
  • 15ml brown sugar
  • 15ml olive oil
  • 15ml soy sauce
  • 80ml dry white wine


  1. First prepare the marinade by mixing ingredients together.
  2. Place meat in marinade and leave for 3-4 hours covered.
  3. Remove and pat dry with kitchen paper.
  4. Grill meat on the braai grill for 25-30 minutes in total (medium-well done) or until cooked, basting frequently with marinade.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and orange zest.
